ND Game Collections

Hi everyone! So the other day, I went on Ebay just to look for the SAW Special Edition, as I regularly do, and then I got to wondering if any of the old games were being sold in the original boxes with the flaps and stuff, you know? And I found a ton of them for so cheap! Like 5-10 dollars! I had to snap them up, especially since I had some extra cash and I figured I could sell the copies I already had. Five of the seven of them arrived yesterday, and even though they're not in pristine condition, they're all pretty good considering how long it's been since they were first sold in boxes like that! I got CUR, SHA, DOG, FIN, and TRT today, and I expect to get DAN and DDI tomorrow or Monday. I also have the highest bid right now for RAN and ICE very cheap and I imagine I'll win those too. And since I already had CLK, CRE, CRY, HAU, and WAC in the big boxes either from getting lucky when I was first making my physical collection (CLK, CRE, and CRY) or from actually buying it like that in a store when it first came out (HAU and WAC). So now, the only ones I need to be on the lookout for are SCK, STFD, MHM (Which those three especially could be hard), SSH, CAR, TRN, and VEN. Those last four either weren't on Ebay or were too beat up/expensive for me to justify getting them. So yeah, I know that was a long intro, but I thought you guys might be interested in seeing pictures! Also, that got me thinking, if anyone else wants to share any games with the flaps that they have, or even the entirety of their game collection, I'd love to see it! I'll start by showing you my collection in my desk drawers, and then do TRT, and then probably start a new post for each game after that! (Sorry about how big they are, but my phone can't directly attach the pictures into the message, so this has to do If you zoom out on your screen, it's easier to see them ;D) Oh! And if anyone has any questions about what they say, go ahead and ask and I'll write it down for you!

FIN: Obviously this didn't come with the "First Edition" book as advertised on the front, but the only copies I saw of this game on Ebay had that, so either it was always like that, or that was added a little while after it came out. It's embossed on, so I can't take it off, unfortunately, but it's kinda cool in it's own way

HAU: As you can see, the back is torn a bit... I must have been so excited first getting this that I ripped the tape off too fast and it peeled some of the paper away :/ This is also the game I don't technically own, because a long time ago I leant the discs to someone who never returned them, so I guess if I ever find an extremely cheap one, like even cheaper than the ones I just got, I could justify buying a new one lol

This is such a cool thread! It's so cool seeing the box designs for these games, especially since I gave mine up a while back so I would just have the CDs (I'm regretting that choice, haha). Can't wait to see the rest! :-D

Seeing that FIN box actually made my day. I got my copy of FIN many years ago at Toys R Us, and it came with that same book and it had that embossed on the cover as well. I've always wondered if anyone else had their copy of FIN come with that book. :-D

Update on this: I got DDI and I keep intending to post pictures of that too, but I'm thinking I may wait until I get some more so I can post them all at the same time. ICE and RAN are on their way, as well as CAR. I also got DAN, but the pictures on Ebay were totally misconstrued and it looked nice but the box was actually trashed So, I of course fought for that and got my money back XD Oh, and also I just bought SAW with the embossed cover just so that I could get the cover and then resell the game without it XD I'm trying to do the same with TOT and ASH, but not CAP because (Ok, this is getting kind of long but I'm going to keep telling you all cause it's fun XD) I originally got the Special Edition download, but then HeR changed their download store and my computer crashed so I assumed I lost that. So I bought CAP in a store which came with the embossed cover. Come to find out, I contacted HeR and they had something in place which would let me get the Special Edition download back And then after that, I found a physical copy of the Special Edition online So now I have both a regular and special edition, and an embossed cover XP All this to say, I already have a CAP embossed cover, and I'll post pictures of the flap soon. I forgot before Anyways, I'm currently bidding on a new DAN and on a copy of VEN, and if I get those, then only TRN, SSH, MHM, STFD, and SCK will remain XD Yeah, I think I may've crossed the line into crazy, but if I sell the extra copies I have, it'll be fine... Too bad they aren't selling very well on Ebay... I'm trying to sell: The trashed copy of DAN (I may just throw that away unless someone on here wants it free :/); a nice thin copy each of DAN, ICE, RAN, TOT, and CAP altogether (Oh yeah, I also have a copy of both the regular and special edition of TOT because I found the SE online once ); a thin copy of TRT and SHA together; a copy of FIN in just a regular CD case (no ND box/case); a copy of SHA in just a regular CD case; a copy of SCK in a small broken ND case (I have two because this copy didn't work at the very end of the game, so I bought a new one and am only now selling this ); a copy of CUR in a small ND case; and a copy of the Double Dare 5 of DAN and CRE (So basically, I'm bidding on my fourth copy of DAN right now XP Can you see how crazy I am? XD). (Oh, and I also decided to keep my copies of DDI, CAR, and DOG because the discs are like the recent game discs with the new ND silhouette and the colored disc and I think they're cool XD). (Oh! And also, on top of all of those, I still have to sell the copy of SAW I just bought so I could get the case AND sell another copy of both DDI and TRT in regular CD cases that came with the copy of CAR I just bought. I tried to ask the seller for just CAR but they said they're still sending all three ). Hopefully they sell because as cheap as all the games in the embossed boxes are that I'm finding, it does add up, so I definitely want to sell the ones I have. But if they don't sell soon on Ebay, I may try taking them over to Half Price Books and seeing if they'll buy them from me... So, it's your last chance to buy games from survivorfan1234 (my username XD) on Ebay! XD And if you don't understand a word of what I just said then that's ok XD It actually just helps me to write out my plan to sell the duplicate games because right now I feel like I'm squandering so much XD

CAR: This box was a little worse for the wear than I had hoped, as you maybe can see. It's slightly crushed through the middle making both the front and back a bit concave, but it's still relatively nice and I was glad to have found it!

RAN: I love how the entire ship, the diver, the sharks, the chest, and the stingray are all embossed. It's one of my favorite covers ever!

As a matter of fact, I do! I don't know why they chose that book though because it has little relation to the game. xD

Seeing all of these covers again is so great! I remember that ICE one and how on the inner flap, Nancy's silhouette has the blue scarf. I always loved that detail.

Alright, I now officially have all of the boxed games with the flaps!!!! (Aside from SCK, STFD, and MHM because they're hard to find, though I twice I almost got MHM but someone outbid me on Ebay!!! Argh! ) I just thought I'd share a picture! The up close pictures for any games I haven't posted on here yet will come soon (I think that's SSH, TRN, and TOT... still thinking about getting another copy of SCK and ASH which also have flaps, just not a big box).

SCK: Ok, so I kinda caved and gave up on ever finding the big box for SCK and STFD. These littler ones will have to do. These came with the boxed game of MHM I finally found on Ebay, so I was pretty happy

MHM: A little worse for the wear, but what can you expect? Good condition for a flimsy 16-yr old box!
